NHK’s “Bi-no-tsubo,” a popular Japanese TV program on arts and crafts, will feature netsuke for the first time in 14 years.
This time, the following people will appear in the show: Ms. Yoshida Yukari of Sagemonoya; Kokontei Bungiku, a comic story-teller and netsuke collector; the netsuke artists Oikawa Kukan and Doho; and Mr. Kinoshita Muneaki, the director of Kyoto Seishu Netsuke Art Museum.
