[Sale / Tokyo] Exquisite Works of Lacquer Art by UNRYUAN & KIRYUSHA

Art Gallery, 6th floor of the Main Building, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department Store
October 14 – 19, 2026

This exhibition features the superb works of lacquer art by Unryuan (Kitamura Tatsuo) whose works are highly sought after in and outside of Japan for their artistry and attention to detail. Also offered are works by Kiryusha, a group of young artists who have been trained by Unryuan.

Unryuan and his pupils are from Wajima
and now based in Kanazawa since they
were greatly affected by the earthquake
a few years ago. The items in this show
may not include netsuke or inro, but I’m
posting this mention as a related event.
