[Exhibition / Kyoto] Brilliance of Japanese Lacquer

Several Hundreds of netsuke, mostly contemporary, are displayed in the only existing samurai residence in the city of Kyoto.

Exhibitions from April to June are under the theme of “Future Vision of Netsuke.” The May exhibition focuses on netsuke made using techniques of exquisite Japanese urushi (lacquering).
