[Exhibition / Kyoto] Masterpieces of Maki-e Lacquerware

Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum

On view will be a number of splendid works of maki-e lacquerware by masters who served as leaders from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji and Taisho periods.

Note: This is not a netsuke exhibition, but is mentioned here as related to netsuke. On the first floor of the museum is a display of artistic crafts from the late Edo and the Meiji periods, including netsuke, inro, and sword fittings.
